Based on a census carried out during 2002, a comprehensive directory of 4027 ginning and pressing factories has been prepared. This fulfills the urgent need for reliable database on the ginning sector- the most vital link in the fibre chain. The directory is devised in a very user-friendly manner by listing all units - state, district and centrewise details covering profile of the units according to activities, installed machinery etc. The above publication is most useful to industry, trade, machinery manufacturers, traders, exporters and others. The project was sponsored by Technology Mission on Cotton (TMC). The report consists of 697 pages with text and tables.
