Export Performance of India’s Textile and Clothing (T&C)Products
The export of textile and clothing products during the period April-November of 2016 declined by 4.04% to USD 23489.91 million against USD 24479.86 million during the same period for 2015. In Rupee terms, there is a negative growth of 0.38%; from Rs. 158007.91 crore to Rs. 157415.12 crore. EU Market Watch

The EU is the largest Textile & Clothing  market of the world followed by US and imported $ 237.17 billion during 2015. EU Textile & Clothing imports from the rest of the world were $ 143.45 billion during the period April to October 2015 as compared to $ 147.11 billion during the same period in 2016. US Market Watch

The US is the second largest Textile & Clothing market of the world after EU and imported $ 119.64 billion during 2015. The US Textile & Clothing imports from the rest of the world were $ 82.93 billion during the period April-November 2015 as compared to $ 78.07 billion during the same period in 2016. Competitiveness Analysis of Global Cotton Textiles 

As a part of this Market Intelligence initiative  the Textiles Committee has completed the data collection of cotton textiles especially fiber, yarn and fabric on the various parameters such as production, exports, imports, etc through secondary sources. Also, besides this, the conversion cost of yarn, fabric, made-ups, etc have also been compiled. The publication is divided in four segments dealing with cotton fibre, cotton yarn, cotton fabric and conversion costs respectively. First three segments contain the details on production, export, import, Unit Value Realisation (UVR), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) etc. The fourth segment of the database comprises of the information on the competitiveness of the major countries like raw material cost, factor costs, logistic costs, conversion costs of spinning, texturing, weaving and knitting production, etc.  click here to download the copy of the report[PDF]6.86 MB
